CampusPin Glossary

Common Application (Common App)

A single online undergraduate application accepted by 1,000+ U.S. colleges, including most selective private schools and many publics.

The Common Application is the dominant U.S. undergraduate application platform. Over 1,000 member colleges accept it, including all Ivy League schools and the majority of selective private institutions. Applicants complete one Common App profile (personal info, academics, activities, essay) and add school-specific supplements as needed. Public-university systems (UC, CSU, SUNY, Texas A&M) operate their own application platforms instead of or in addition to Common App.

CampusPin tags every institution that accepts Common App, and you can filter results by Common App acceptance directly on /results.
