Double major
Completing the degree requirements for two separate majors at the same time, awarded as one degree.
A double major lets a student earn the requirements for two majors and graduate with one degree (BA or BS) listing both. It typically requires careful planning to avoid extra semesters, especially across schools/colleges (e.g., engineering + business). Some schools cap the number of overlapping credits between the two majors. The credential differs from a dual degree, which awards two separate diplomas (often BA + BS) and usually requires extra time.
